Mike Takes Charge At Starbucks -- At Least He Would If He Could!

Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Other times, the squeaky wheel gets picked up virally by an assortment of news sources. Such was the case with my little post on the Starbucks Gossip blog about why some New York City Starbucks locations have been covering up their electrical outlets with blank faceplates you can't plug anything into. Well, after enduing the usual hatred that expressing your opinion on the Internet can get you, someone chimed in with an actual answer. When the blogmaster noticed my issue might have some legs, he promoted my question to its very own thread. That snowballed into several news sources picking up the story, and mentioning me and my (slighty erroneous) credits by name! One of the folks who saw one of those articles was Steven Lowell, Community Manager for Voice123.com, and he turned me into a post on their blog!

Meanwhile, after a week, I'm still waiting for a callback from a Starbucks representative after I placed a call about the matter to their customer service center, but that's a story for another time....
