How did Mike's product line get started? Its genesis came from a thought-provoking Facebook comment from fellow Voice Artist, Suzanne Roberts. As you can see below, the whole thing took less than a day to go from inspiration to realization. It's worth noting that, in this context, the noun "talent" is not being used in the "natural aptitude or skill" sense of the word, but rather in the "people possessing talent" sense -- it's a fancy word for "actor" or other TV, Radio or Film performer.

Super excited for [The Little Mermaid] Diamond edition! Very interesting read here. I'm often curious about WHY some feel that there is a difference in an actor if they choose to act behind a mic only rather than a camera? Its a performance either way imo. Camera or mic is just a tool or channel the art flows through. Celebrities bring a certain level of notority to any animated film, duh, of course! As far as what Samuel Wright mentions " We all felt that need to do the best we possibly could, and because we were actors and not just voice talent, we knew how to bring that to our work and left it up to the talent of some great animators", I felt like he was saying if your not performing on stage, on-cam, anywhere other than a vocal booth on the regular, you can't possibly be the best.... I first found that really insulting. I do prefer being behind the mic any given day. Then after I sat with this a few minutes, I thought, hmmm maybe I am missing something in this message..... what do you think?
